We are very pleased with the output of the HSCS team, Throughout the eight month project, we felt confident in their approach and depth of knowledge. Communication is key for complex projects like this. It was important to us that our customers and patients were not disrupted and HSCS managed to deliver a seamless transition to the new DC.

HSCS provided much needed band-width and professional expertise to assist us both in delighting our valued customer Clinisupplies whilst also supporting our growth. The quality of the personnel supplied by HSCS integrated seamlessly with our internal team and worked closely with all of our suppliers to deliver an exciting new operation in the Midlands. This allowed myself and my senior team to concentrate on winning new business and supporting our existing customers. I wouldn’t hesitate to utilise HSCS services again and recommend them to others requiring similar support.

I hired a HSCS consultant to work with me as a project manager as we took back the management of an outsourced warehouse. Alex integrated himself seamlessly into our organisation, creating a detailed cross functional project plan that spanned systems, process, HR, operational design, testing and integration and managed the cut-over plan. His calming influence and ability to get things done, enabled the project to be delivered on-time, with a successful go-live. My only criticism is I couldn’t hire Alex as part of the on-going team!

During many years in the industry I have never experienced such fast pace of the evolving life in logistics. Covid-19 pandemic has led to fast growth for logistics, along with Brexit we have had to review our strategy and plan our initiatives for the immediate & future objectives. Opportunities have led the way to new and exciting territories. Having engaged with HSCS this has given me a clear direction to improve our ability in delivering excellence to our customers with confidence.

Alex joined L’Oréal as part of the procurement team but based separately in our DC in Trafford Park. Over a very short period of time Alex became a valued asset to the business. He built relationships with key business owners quickly, hit the ground running on key projects and delivered what he set out to do. All with a smile on his face. If we could we would have kept him and will definitely take him back. I would recommend Alex to any company looking to work with a trust worthy and knowledgeable operational and procurement specialist.

Alex knows what good looks like in carrier management, service and pricing. Really knows what he is doing on an international scale, great at negotiation and very into the detail. Great advisor with a broad skillset, good communicator and self motivated. Engaged with stakeholders well, measured  approach, really valuable to a business going through change. Provided structured project plans, got the correct people on board and provided clear updates around progress and risks.

Alex led Scott’s Warehouse & Logistics function through a number of changes, delivering significant operational efficiency improvements on a limited resource budget.

Working alongside a major parcel carrier, he designed a transformational DSV collection process to maximise speed to market and therefore customer experience whilst minimising cost.

We supported Dunelm in the re-submission of their ITT for the outsourcing of their 2MAN home delivery operation. We lead the project through from initial short listing, re-affirmation / alignment of ITT deliverables, determining operational capability. customer service deliverables and subsequent implementation. The project was successfully delivered in a 3 month timetable with go live of the new partner, Panther Warehousing Group, occurring after just 2 months

Alex Hewes led the delivery of a number of strategic projects during his tenure with M&S.

Through strong stakeholder management and excellent project management skills, he plotted a transformational course for the team and built clear foundations for his team to deliver their objectives.

During his time with McDonalds, Alex Hewes was responsible for the logistics service in the UK, Ireland & Scandinavia.

I was more than satisfied with Alex’s performance. I found him to be a good project manager, commercially aware with good technical knowledge of logistics practices and processes.
